The Phoenixville Area High School, class of 1969 celebrated its 55th class reunion on September 13th and 14th, 2024.
The two day event included a golf outing organized by Dennis O'Donnell, the ice-breaker social Friday at The Polish Club in Phoenixville, and wrapped up with Saturday's gala event at the Spring Hollow Golf Club, Spring City, with cocktails and dinner. Eva (Doebling) Johnson offered the invocation before dinner. The dinner, chicken, salmon, and pasta, was excellent. Madeline Harbison made cheesecake cupcakes, and Bonnie made chocolate & vanilla cupcakes for desert. BOTH were delicious! After dinner, special gifts were presented to the committee by Bonnie for their dedication and hard work to keep the reunion tradition. The 50/50 raffle was won by Bonnie, who donated the amount to the Class of 1969 Scholarship Fund in honor of her parents, Ed & Lea McDaniel. Pictures donated by John Petro and Bill Harbison; three Purple and White afghans hand made by Rovena (Raysor) Parmley; and a wine basket created by Bonnie were also part of the raffle. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed seeing each other again. Only five years to the next one....
